The CMHS has been a Miramichi institution for over 52 years. The CMHS has played a key role in maintaining local sites of historical significance and prides itself in maintaining a community oriented approach to historical preservation.
Research assistants will be expected to have high technical skills (recording, Microsoft word, editing, social media, etc) and will ideally have some background knowledge with conducting research and organizing data. Social skills are valued and candidates with a deep passion for history, genealogy, and community service will be given highest consideration. Employees will be responsible for conducting and recording 7 interviews with key local figures over the course of the summer. Interview data will be compiled into documents and recordings which will be connected to existing files and data. Research assistants will also assist with organizing and creating one community event in addition to collecting photos and resources from members of the community.

Under the direction of an Animal Care Supervisor you will be required to carry out the following:

Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark is hiring a Geopark Interpreter. This role will focus on showcasing relevant natural and cultural history sites around the region, while operating primarily out of Saint John. The Geopark Interpreter will inform the public about what Stonehammer does, and educate on the environment, history, and culture of the region, while promoting sustainable tourism initiatives. Programming will be directed at both locals and tourists, and will include events that are free and low cost for the community.
Training will be provided; additionally, the candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills, be comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people, and work independently and with a team. Applicants of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
