The Summer Baseball Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating key aspects of a 10-week summer baseball program. The primary responsibilities include field scheduling, assigning umpires, planning special events, and leading training camps. This role requires excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills to ensure the program runs smoothly and meets the needs of participants and stakeholders.

You will be helping to create the best possible summer for our residents. Working as part of a team you will be supporting their day to day lives (including personal care), as well as enhancing it by creating new and fun activities. Our goal is to create a home that they enjoy spending time in, and the chance to have meaningful engagement within the the larger community. Our residents love to have fun, celebrate every occasion and are willing to take on new adventures. The role will not just focus on what the residents as a group like to do, but will also meet each of our residents where they are at and build on their personal strengths and goals. We are looking for someone who is fun, self motivated, flexible, reliable, not afraid to get their hands dirty and creative. We are a 24hr facility but it will not involve working overnight, and there may be a requirement to work a couple Saturday or Sundays for special events. Come hang out with us for for the summer!

Performs physical grounds keeping maintenance tasks e.g. spring clean-up and raking leaves and broken tree branches; grass mowing and trimming; tree pruning, planting, fertilizing, edging and mulching; flower and shrub bed trimming, spring prep and cleaning, edging, mulching; backfill, material spreading and leveling sunken areas in graveyards; top dressing and seeding damaged turf areas, and preparing for hydroseeding and /or installation of sod; cleaning and painting buildings, fences, flagpoles, and other fixed assets; straightening, leveling and cleaning stone monuments and flush markers; operation of ride-on mower and powered grass trimmers, power washer, garden tillers, etc.;open and closed graves for cremation burials; use of hand tools like rakes, shovels pry bars, wheel barrows, saws, pruning shears, hand loppers, and the like. Greets visitors, delivery personnel, provides information, answers questions, provides directions, Maintains records of hours worked and work done.

Supervising and planning a summer camp for children, many of whom are from economically challenged families and diverse cultural communities. Staff will ensure thatchildren (new immigrants, recognized minorities, low income families, aboriginal, etc) are part of an inclusive program and have a positive experience. Staff will help theChildren to feel empowered, a sense of belonging and improved self esteem.

A job for anyone interested in growing food, from seed to harvest.
Job duties include:
All aspects of growing food from seed to harvest both indoors and outdoors; able to work on your own, with staff, and volunteers.
Looking after flower pots placed around the gardens for our bees, brush cutting, weeding, fertilizing and watering.
Work on existing structures, make trellises, prepare hoops for shade cloth and plastic covers, and work on watering systems
Assigned other duties as necessary to "HELPING US HELP OTHERS ".
The student taking on this role would need to be:
a) computer literate - an asset
b) interested in gardening and working outdoors
c) good with people
All aspects overseen by our Gardener who teaches seed to harvest.
No prior knowledge is required but would be an asset. The work is mostly outside in all weathers and is physical in nature, but very satisfying.

The individual would assist with the supervision of the swimming pool and waterfront areas. Individual would be involved in program activity instruction. This person would also assist in the cleaning / maintenance of the swimming pool and waterfront areas.

This position would be involved in a variety of tasks that may include but not be limited to the following: Cabin leading - providing supervision and leadership to 8-10 campers assigned to their cabin for a week as well as mentoring junior staff; Program - providing help and support for wide site games, hikes, campfires, etc.; Maintenance - chores such as cleaning and maintenance; Kitchen - provide support to our head cook as needed to plan, prep, and serve meals.

Greens maintenance, mowing, seeding, fertilizing, and weeding. Facilities management, painting interior and exterior of building. Repair decks and boards surrounding green. Maintenance of green sheds (3) and regular maintenance of machinery and equipment. Prepares green for play, setting up rinks for competition on a daily basis. Following completion of play, put away all equipment. Assists with cleaning and sanitizing of clubhouse as per health and safety guidelines. Assists with local tournaments hosted by the club. Assists with Provincial and Atlantic tournaments hosted by the club. May require worker to play in order to complete existing teams. Other duties as may be assigned. This position may involve evening and/or weekend work.

Summer Students will work with congregants and church leadership in the planning and conduct of Sunday services. They will also enrich programming throughout the week in children and youth ministries. Ministries include the development, organization and leadership of programs such as vacation bible school, as well as youth and seniors outreach. Based on the confidence and skill set of the student they may have additional opportunities to include public speaking, sound/audio tech assistance, budget and funds management, general administration and social media interface. Summer Students will work alongside and report to assigned church leadership and be coached and mentored IAW their future employment goals. We offer a summer experience that will build appreciable and transferable skills.
