Working in one of our four positions of grounds maintenance laborer, you will find yourself maintaining and lining the ballfields, soccer fields, and playing areas of our prominent, "Athletic Park". Whipper snipping parks and playgrounds and helping with the up keep of our municipal community garden. These four positions will also assist with trail maintenance and repair as needed. Water/weed municipal flower beds and planters along the New Maryland Highway. Inspect playground equipment and park facilities daily. Maintain logs of work completed. Notify the Recreation Foreman of any necessary repairs. Operate common hand and power tools such as mowers, whipper snippers, etc. Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Recreation Foreman. University/college student capable of performing manual labor outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, ability to take direction, work well individually and as a team. First Aid/CPR and relevant safety training (i.e WHMIS) is an asset.
