The Aquatic Field Biologist supports BWC’s aquatic projects both in the field and office by handling duties such as water quality monitoring, water pollution research, fish passage restoration, surveying, sampling, tagging, and outreach. Responsibilities also include riparian and aquatic restoration, data entry, report writing, and helping at community events. This role calls for candidates who are self-motivated and able to work independently, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, remain safety-conscious, and enjoy working outdoors in any weather. Experience with boats and water is important. Students studying biology, environmental science, or ecology will benefit greatly from this opportunity, which provides practical experience valuable for career growth. The job is full-time, seasonal (35 hours per week), lasting 10–12 weeks and starting in May 2026.
