Performs physical grounds keeping maintenance tasks e.g. spring clean-up and raking leaves and winter debris like broken tree branches twigs and limbs; clean-up of flower and shrub beds; edging and preparation of beds for planting, fertilization, mulching and watering; planting, edging and mulching, fertilization and watering of specimen trees; grass mowing and trimming using ride-on mower and powered string trimmers; pruning and trimming established trees and bushes. Opens and closes ground for cremation burials. Levels and repairs sunken graves and damaged turf areas and rakes and top dresses areas with topsoil in preparation for seeding, hydroseeding or placement of grass sod; helps clean, straighten and level stone monuments as required; cleans, paints and helps provide maintenance on graveyard buildings, flagpoles, fences and other physical assets. As the on-site graveyard representative, deals with visitors and members of the public. contractors and delivery personnel.

Founded in 1994 by the Hon. Jim Ross, the mission of Partners for Youth is to engage youth facing challenges and obstacles in their lives to become capable, connected and contributing members of their communities. PFY achieves its mission through innovative programs and services which promote experiential learning in safe, supportive and rewarding environments, in collaboration with public, private and not for profit partners. An extension of our year round program the summer camp experience offers youth at risk the opportunity to explore the New Brunswick wilderness as they take part in an adventure based out tripping camp. Designed as a small group experience only 20 campers and 8 staff participate in each camp. In order to accommodate the demand we plan to offer up to 14 camps during the 2026 summer season. Delivered from our 35 acre site in North Lake NB, our camp provides an outdoor adventure based experience which is supportive, challenging and life changing.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Executive Director, being willing and ready to assist in all aspects of camp life and operation.
Assist with preparations and leadership of staff training in the pre-camp season.
Assist in making sure the camp is fully operational for the camping season.
Provide leadership to all staff, cabin leaders, LITs and volunteers.
Check in with staff teams weekly.
Ensure the day-to-day operations of the camp and staff are running smoothly.
Organize and lead devotions for morning meetings (Morning Devos).
Manage the scheduling, mentoring, and supervision of the LITs in our LIT program, including oversight of the LITs’ Raise-a-Wage (RAW) program.
Assist in the development of quality training programs for LITs and Cabin Leaders
Provide weekly mentoring meetings with LITs & volunteers.
Organize and schedule volunteers.
Connect daily with cabin leaders, offering prayer, mentorship & support.

This is a 12-week position.

The Children’s Ministry Worker will support the planning and delivery of summer children’s programming at Atlantic Community Church under the supervision of the NextGen Pastor. Responsibilities include assisting with Vacation Bible School and themed day camps by preparing materials, setting up activity stations, helping lead large and small group activities, and supervising children to ensure safety, inclusion, and adherence to child-protection policies. The student will help design crafts, games, lessons, and schedules; organize supplies; maintain program spaces; and complete light administrative and communication tasks. They will work alongside volunteers, assist with event logistics, interact positively with families, and participate in community outreach events. Regular check-ins will provide supervision, mentorship, and leadership development.

Our Community Programs Director will first shadow our Community Outreach Pastor, who oversees our partnerships with community organizations in our neighbourhood, as well as our own community outreach program called Hope Mission, which provides 2 free weekly meals, access to a community health nurse, and opportunities for those experiencing financial poverty and food insecurity to build community and gain skills. After working in partnership with the Community Outreach , the Community Programs Director will then take leadership of the program.

This work includes working closely with and coordinating teams of volunteers to facilitate meals, outings, and special events; collaborating with our community partners to ensure that our summer offerings provide the best support to our community that we are able to offer; building community online through our social media groups; and building community in person by forming and facilitating relationships among the Hope Mission community.
