The Watershed Technician will provide technical support to the SJRS’s field and office-based projects including water quality monitoring and research, shoreline assessments, riparian restoration and microplastic sampling, and community outreach projects. The Watershed Technician will also be tasked with shoreline restoration, wharf maintenance, wake-aware outreach, and office tasks including data entry, report writing, and assisting at community events. This position requires a candidate with the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with good communication and interpersonal skills and safety awareness are a must. Should enjoy working outside in all weather conditions and around water and boats. Candidates pursuing university/college programs in biology, environmental science, or ecology will find this position an asset to their education and career development. This seasonal full-time position (35 hours per week) for 10 -12 weeks commencing in June 2025.
