Under the supervision of the day camp manager, the senior day camp assistant will be responsible for:
- Supervision of a group of children during daytime activities (group play, crafts, Bible lesson, meals, etc)
- Management of behavioural issues as they arise and make reports to the day camp manager
- Attention to detail and aware of the health and safety of campers at all times (hydration, sunscreen, proper clothing for activity/weather, etc)
-Maintaining accurate records (sign in/sign out sheets)
- Management of all lost and found articles on a daily basis
- Assisting in supervising junior assistants
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area and putting away equipment after use

General head lifeguarding requirements and duties including:
- Supervision of private pool with shallow end and deep end
- NLS trained with current certification and first aid/CPR
- Ability to teach basic swimming skills, organize pool games, and provide a structured swimming program
- Maintain a clean, hazard free workspace (both in water and on deck)
- Maintain pool security (lock gates when not in use)
- Be a role model to children and other team members in pool safety and posted pool rules
- Assist with other campground activities as needed when lifeguarding duties are not required

Student would be mainly responsible for maintaining gardens and lawns (mowing, weeding, planting) and doing miscellaneous small maintenance jobs around the home.

Key Responsibilities of the crew

- Parks and facility monitoring & maintenance of Town facilities, including; Daily Review of all Town facilities including Brundage Point River Centre, Unity Park, Veterans Peace Park, Ball Fields, Tennis Courts, Walking Trail, Parks and Playgrounds;
- Weekly mowing, maintenance and cleaning of Town-owned green space;
- Some light sweeping, mopping, dusting and cleaning of Community Centres may be required;
- Ensuring facility lawns are free of litter and debris;
- Assisting with rental events and ensuring facilities are operational;
- Back-up assistance for official Town event and program delivery;

Skills:

Ability to operate small power tools, lawn mowers (ride-on and push);
stand for long durations; to work with others; to work alone; and
to work from written instructions.

Requirements:

Supply own steel toe work boots;
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence;
Education: Grade 12 or higher; and
Able to work weekends and holidays.

Reporting to the Recreation Director

Key Responsibilities

- Opening and closing the Brundage Point River Centre as key and alarm code holder;
- Greeting visitors to the Brundage Point River Centre;
- Assist with tourism inquiries and directions;
- Supervising rental events and ensuring facilities are operational;
- Greeting and assisting event organizers;
- Assist official Town event and program delivery;

The Summer Recreation Program Provider is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising engaging recreational activities for children and youth during the summer months. The provider ensures a safe, inclusive, and fun environment, promoting physical activity, creativity, teamwork, and personal development.

The Summer Day Camp Helper will assist staff in planning and running 4 weeks of summer camps for kids aged 6-15. This will involve planning games, snacks, craft ideas, and helping supervise children. Following the camps those hired will provide follow with those who have attended the camp and determine interest in other programs.

Youth recreation counsellors will be responsible for youth summer camp and sport program development. They will work directly with children during camp and sport programs.
There will be light administration and cleaning/maintenance duties.
They will collaborate with coworkers to develop and administer excellent youth programs.
