The Child and Youth Program Assistant will report directly to the Child and Youth Witness to Violence Advocate and will be responsible for conducting research on, and facilitating, programs to support the child and youth clients of Hestia House. This will include:
- Conducting a short literature review exploring the impacts of childhood exposure to domestic violence
- Deliver developmentally appropriate activities to support socio-emotional education through a trauma-informed lens
The Child & Youth Witness to Violence Program Assistant must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of implication and risk factors of: Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Childhood Exposure to Violence
- Strong ability to work with children and youth
- Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning skills.
