Summer Program Counsellors will work directly with Program Coordinator and community centre director/ supervisor to develop an enriching summer program for local youth, ensuring a healthy mixture of physical activity, learning opportunities, day trips, crafts, etc. Counsellor will work as a team with other camp counsellors and coordinator, to deliver summer program, developing teamwork and collaboration skills. Counsellors will work as a team to lead the planned daily activities for campers and provide various supports to campers, as needed. They will assist in maintaining communication with campers' caregivers and the community centre directors. They will be tasked with ensuring a healthy and safe environment for campers and team members. They will be under the direct supervision the Program Coordinator, as well as daily communication and supervision of Director. They will be trained in and be expected to follow the policies and procedures, including health & safety.
