Reporting to the Centre Director, the YMCA Day Camp Counsellor is responsible for the daily routine of the Summer Day Camp program for all children within the camp program, ages 5 to 12 years old. This includes the provision of quality and safe care.

-Keep parents informed of child’s developmental and behavioral progress in a caring, confidential manner.
- Support positive conflict resolution.
- Comply with all YMCA and government established standards (law) and policies.
- Create, lead and facilitate inclusive, safe, fun and high quality activities.
- Participate actively in scheduled outings, mealtimes, swim and gym.
- Takes all children’s strengths and interests into consideration in planning learning activities and experiences.
- Use adaptations to set up the learning environment so that all can participate and access meaningful learning opportunities.
