Reporting to the director, the chosen person will have different tasks to ensure the proper functioning of the center:
- Conduct research and put together presentations on autism spectrum disorder and any other related subject;
- Find resources in the community;
- Create booklets/information kits on relevant topics of interest to families;
- Help the director organize activities as well as put together a new program for the center;
- Help with the maintenance of the premises;
- Carry out any other tasks deemed relevant by the director and the board of directors.

Individual will plan and implement a variety of sporting opportunities and physical activity games being hosted in Perth-Andover for the Western Valley Region. Games will include underrepresented groups (Indigenous, Older Adults, Children & Youth, Persons with a disability). Marketing and Promotion of activities to increase physical activity in the region.

Must have the proper qualifications and certificates to instruct Lifesaving Swim for Life programs for all ages. Must have great customer service and communication skills. Provide patrons with water safety and supervision during swimming lessons and other pool events. Organize lesson plans, implement lessons, and evaluate students. Assisting with keeping the pool and pool area clean and save. Evenings and weekends are required.

The sport and recreation coordinator will be responsible for soccer and baseball programming for the summer. Designing and implementing sport/recreation programs for all ages (children, youth, adults, seniors, and families). Planning and deliver of summer end sport jamborees. Assisting in the planning and delivering of recreational events that is happening throughout the summer months. Must have good communication skills, work well independently and as a team. Must have good planning documentation and customer service skills. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Assist in planning and running an exciting, active and diverse nine-week summer day camp program. Ensure that all games, activities and crafts are designed to be safe, enjoyable, age appropriate, and diverse which will contribute to the positive social, emotional, physical and mental growth of all day camp participants. Follow all current health and safety practices for a safe, fun, camp experience. Committed to ensuring a caring, cooperative and friendly environment for all campers and fellow counsellors. Follow all Village policies and procedures regarding safety, discipline and High Five principles of childhood development. Day Camp Counsellors must have a valid CPR/First Aid training and a Vulnerable Sector/Criminal Record check is required. Health and safety orientation will be provided as per the municipality's HR manual, as well as staff orientation prior to camp. Reporting to the Centre Director, the YMCA Day Camp Counsellor is responsible for the daily routine of the Summer Day Camp program for all children within the camp program, ages 5 to 12 years old. This includes the provision of quality and safe care.
Responsibilities:
-Create a physical and social environment offering full range of self-directed learning opportunities.
-Keep parents informed of child’s developmental and behavioral progress in a caring, confidential manner.
- Support positive conflict resolution.
- Comply with all YMCA and government established standards (law) and policies.
- Create, lead and facilitate inclusive, safe, fun and high quality activities.
- Participate actively in scheduled outings, mealtimes, swim and gym.
- Takes all children’s strengths and interests into consideration in planning learning activities and experiences.
- Use adaptations to set up the learning environment so that all can participate and access meaningful learning opportunities.
