The Production Assistant will work closely with the station manager and producers to ensure that all stages of the production process run smoothly, from pre-production through to post-production. This role offers hands-on experience in television and news production, providing valuable opportunities to develop technical skills and storytelling abilities.
Responsibilities will include setting up studio equipment and facilities, assisting the camera crew during live and scheduled programming, and contributing creative ideas to projects in development. The Production Assistant will also help source and verify breaking news stories relevant to Southwest New Brunswick, assist with editing by sourcing music and photographs, and support the overall workflow of the production team.

The NBRC’s summer law students will assist the clinic’s staff in every part of the clinic’s operations, including: client intake meetings; refugee claim applications; preparation for refugee claim determination hearings; legal research; research on human rights and country conditions; applications for permanent residence; applications for work permits; and humanitarian and compassionate grounds applications. The summer law students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in immigration and refugee law, as well as developing the skills to work with vulnerable and culturally diverse clients. The NBRC is a bilingual workplace. Additional languages, particularly Spanish, Ukrainian, Dari, Arabic, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and Haitian Creole, are an asset.
