L’objectif est de favoriser leur épanouissement, leur développement personnel et leur apprendre à vivre en groupe tout en veillant à leur sécurité. The Production Assistant will work closely with the station manager and producers to ensure that all stages of the production process run smoothly, from pre-production through to post-production. This role offers hands-on experience in television and news production, providing valuable opportunities to develop technical skills and storytelling abilities.

Responsibilities will include setting up studio equipment and facilities, assisting the camera crew during live and scheduled programming, and contributing creative ideas to projects in development. The Production Assistant will also help source and verify breaking news stories relevant to Southwest New Brunswick, assist with editing by sourcing music and photographs, and support the overall workflow of the production team.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about media production, eager to learn the technical and editorial aspects of broadcasting, and ready to take an active role in bringing local stories to life.

The NBRC’s summer law students will assist the clinic’s staff in every part of the clinic’s operations, including: client intake meetings; refugee claim applications; preparation for refugee claim determination hearings; legal research; research on human rights and country conditions; applications for permanent residence; applications for work permits; and humanitarian and compassionate grounds applications. The summer law students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in immigration and refugee law, as well as developing the skills to work with vulnerable and culturally diverse clients. The NBRC is a bilingual workplace. Additional languages, particularly Spanish, Ukrainian, Dari, Arabic, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and Haitian Creole, are an asset.

The Activity Aide assists the Activity Coordinator in planning and implementing therapeutic activities for residents with dementia in a nursing home setting. The role involves working one-on-one or in groups to help reduce isolation and confusion, especially during sundowning. Youth in this role will learn to develop programs that cater to residents’ emotional, spiritual, and relaxation needs. Responsibilities include safely transporting residents, adjusting activities for changing health conditions, and fostering communication with residents using dementia-specific techniques. Youth will also work closely with other healthcare professionals (RN, LPN, Dietitian) and families to ensure the well-being of residents. They will gain skills in teamwork, organization, safety, documentation, and nutrition. The role promotes a collaborative, supportive environment for both residents and staff.

The Rehab Aide works under the supervision of the LPN Rehab Assistant, with guidance from the Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Director of Nursing. The role involves supporting rehabilitation programs, encouraging resident participation, and assisting in treatments to maximize independence and dignity. Duties include implementing treatment plans, such as positioning, mobilizing, and feeding, while adhering to All The Right Moves policies. The Aide participates in personalized rehabilitation programs, communicates progress with residents and families, and maintains equipment inventory. The role requires collaboration with the Maintenance department to ensure proper equipment functionality. The Aide learns interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and gains experience in health care and rehabilitation, while maintaining confidentiality. This is an excellent opportunity for youth interested in pursuing a health care career.

Maintaining the gardens outside and in the greenhouse at Abbey-Landry school, the gardens at the Senior citizens complexes. Planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, hoeing, cultivating many vegetables, harvesting, storing and preserving them. We are seeking a person who is motivated, autonomous, dynamic and enthusiastic and who wishes to learn gardening from experienced students, teachers and volunteers while interacting with the people from the community. This summer will be mostly outside in nature, offers flexibles hours and the opportunity to learn the concepts of healthy ecological eating for all.
