Our Drop-in Centre workers are the front line staff of our program. With the guidance and assistance of our Program Director they will provide a safe and healthy environment for the youth in our care. They will plan and coordinate daily activities along with outings in the Greater Moncton area and across the province. With these summer students we are able to providing programs to youth throughout our community, programs that have continued to grow since covid and the rapid growth in the area. Without students these vital programs do not exist!
Please note: English required, French an asset.

Responsibilities may include:

• Aid with scheduling and organizing movie and music nights in the park and/ or other events, according to the established high standards
• Provide assistance with Canada Day celebrations
• Develop and deliver other special events
• Create promotional materials (Poster, ads and/or videos)
• Create social media marketing material on Facebook and Instagram
• Submit an end of season report, including summary and recommendations and/or suggestions for new events
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies as needed
To qualify, you must:

• Currently be a post-secondary student
• Be enrolled in a post-secondary program for Fall 2025
• Knowledge of Microsoft office, online meeting platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, CANVA, and Eventbrite
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
• Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities may include:

• Collect infrastructure data and road ratings
• Perform topographical surveys
• Assist with inspections of subdivisions, road construction and pipe work
• Assist in road and ditch design
• Place traffic counters and record traffic patterns
• Organize records and enter data into spreadsheets

To qualify, you must:

• Currently be a post-secondary student in a Civil Engineering program and scheduled to return to university in the Fall of 2024
• Have a current NB Driver’s Abstract meeting the Town’s expectations
• Have excellent multi-tasking, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Be self-motivated, able to take initiative, and work under minimal supervision
• Demonstrate teamwork abilities
• Have previous experience in a similar role is an asset
• Have experience using AutoCAD, GeoCalc, and CARIS is an asset

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist in the construction and development of new trails with the Town’s trail system
• Landscaping, preparation, and maintenance including cutting grass, preparing flower beds, planting flowers, watering, weeding and other gardening duties
• Operation of push and ride mowers, grass trimmers and other tools/ equipment
• Sports field maintenance and inspection
• General maintenance and facility upkeep of parks, playgrounds, and buildings including light cleaning, painting and minor repairs

Tourism Councilors are an important link between the visitor and the community. duties include providing answers to questions about the area, history, tide schedules and weather. Distribution of literature and maintaining brochure racks. Strict cleaning duties are requires.

Maintaining municipal grounds and buildings, including lawn mowing, weeding and help to construct and painting of municipal garbage cans, benches and picnic tables. Responsible for garbage removal at public locations

The responsibilities of the selected candidates will include but are not limited to the following:
•Work with FNB staff to lead, implement and successfully run Flag programs throughout targeted communities in NB.
•Duties will include scheduling, marketing the program to youth and volunteers, providing equipment and executing the program.
•Support FNB in executing the flag football provincial programs.
To be eligible the candidate must:
• meet all requirements and be registered with the NB SEEDS program
• criminal record check
• Complete minimum Safe Sport Training
The following criteria is not required but would be considered an asset:
• is bilingual
• has knowledge of the game of football as a player, coach or official
• has experience working with youth

Passionate about football & leadership? Gain valuable sports program experience! Assist FMFA with Spring Tackle, NFL Flag, Middle School Flag Championship, & East Coast Games. May 5th-Aug 1st, 2025. Must have own transport & be comfortable visiting schools/programs Sussex-St. Stephen, promoting flag football. Manage visit schedule, practice plans, & communication. Mileage provided outside Greater Saint John. Assist with gear maintenance, social media, & spring league scheduling (coaches/officials). Coaching/mentoring experience essential. Laptop provided. English essential, bilingual an asset. Must be enrolled in post-secondary in Fall 2025. Non-standard hours (evenings/weekends).

The student will work alongside the landscaper/groundskeeper. They will be tasked to the following: Transplant flowers and plants, watering the flowers and young trees, cutting the grass, removing fallen tree debris using a leaf blower, they will clean inside the grounds buildings, paint as needed. During the Novena they will be required to perform various tasks to insure that the Pilgrims are well taken care of such as distributing water, pamphlets and directing them to the seating area. Additional tasks may be added as needed.
