The Grounds Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
- collaborating with the Groundskeeper Lead to identify and complete maintenance jobs such as mowing, trimming, cutting, pruning, raking, filling holes, digging, etc.
- utilizing various pieces of tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, hand-held trimmers, whipper snippers, etc., in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- maintaining open communication with office staff to make daily work plans to ensure the pristine appearance of the Park
- assisting in the maintenance of all Park buildings, facilities, and grounds including light carpentry, plumbing tasks, painting, etc.
- performing daily safety inspections of hiking trails, ponds, buildings, sites, cabins, and equipment and immediately report any issues to Groundskeeper Lead
- ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order and report deficiencies when necessary
