Persons hired will work one on one and in a team setting with Persons with Disabilities. The roles of the persons hired will be to job coach, support, teach (while learning from) persons with disabilities. Tasks will include one-on-one supervision in the Food Bank, Arts and Crafts Room, Kitchen, Technology Learning Center, Redemption Center, and helping with the retail and goods preparation in the Lakeland Shoppe (Thrift Store). The persons hired will be employed to teach social and life skills to those who find it difficult at times. Coaching and interactive skills with our employees (32) will be very important during their work placement. They will be supervised and coached themselves by the staff at Lakeland to ensure they get the best work and life experience while doing their placement at Lakeland.
