The Lifeguard at Camp Rotary ensures the safety of campers and staff during aquatic activities, including swimming and canoeing. They monitor water activities, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies with quick action. Lifeguards maintain a vigilant watch over designated swimming areas, promote water safety, and assist with pre-activity preparations. When not guarding, they also serve as Cabin Counsellors, supporting and supervising campers. They maintain cleanliness and organization at the waterfront and are trained in first aid, CPR, and rescue techniques. Lifeguards interact with campers, staff, and senior team members to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a calm demeanour in stressful situations.
