 Plan and conduct programs designed to meet the recreational and diversional needs of all residents.

 Organize individual and group activities which provide social and activitional stimulation within the limitations of the individuals or groups.

 Evaluate the department’s programs introducing new programs and techniques as need arises

 Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with other departments in the Manor.

 Maintain good public relations within the Manor and the community. This includes maintaining liaison with outside community organizations and may require public speaking.

 Assesses resident’s interest in activities through consultation with resident and/or family.

• Receiving, unloading, unpacking and replenish of supplies to designated areas. Be able to withstand heavy lifting and seasonal temperatures.

• Removal of any garbage, boxes, containers designated home equipment, skids etc. to designated disposal containers.

• Performs building maintenance and repairs such as painting, plastering and assembling equipment.

• Maintains building grounds such as mowing lawns, planting flowers, snow removal.

• To keep all cleaning equipment, clean and in good working order.

• Cleaning carts to have all chemicals labeled and in locked cabinet.

• To clean various areas throughout building, floors, walls, windows, doors, equipment, furniture, filters, vents, resident chairs, tables, chairs, refuge containers, tubs, showers, sinks and hardware and any other areas listed on work schedules using necessary cleaning supplies and equipment. Wheelchairs, mechanical lifts and commode chairs are inspected and cleaned on a monthly schedule.
