Literacy Leader Trainer
Position Overview:
Assist in training, mentoring, and overseeing summer students and volunteers to teach children aged 5–8 to read. Help ensure quality literacy tutoring, support staff, and foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in training students and volunteers in literacy instruction, integrating physical activity.
Assist in overseeing tutoring sessions, ensuring engagement and progress for each child.
Assist in mentoring staff, providing feedback, and fostering leadership.
Assist in creating lesson plans and resources for staff to implement.
Assist in monitoring student progress, collecting feedback, and reporting outcomes.
Maintain a positive, safe learning environment for children and staff.
Qualifications:
Background in education or literacy training.
Experience teaching or training others.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Passion for helping children succeed in literacy.
