The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing supplies, handling basic administration duties, planning activities and giving leadership to a summer team of employees and volunteers, who will provide summer programs designed to meet the needs of teens and adults from the special needs community. Responsibilities will also include giving assistance to Sunday morning "Exceptional" programming which allows our organization to help meet the needs of children who require individualized care due to cognitive and/or physical limitations.

The successful candidate will give leadership to summer programs and day camps for children, in addition to directing Sunday programming, including elementary, preschool and nursery aged children. The worker will manage the duties of planning, basic administrative tasks, scheduling of volunteers, and meeting all criteria for "plan to protect" (Maintaining ratios of adults to children and providing appropriate training for volunteers).

The successful candidate will assist Youth Ministry staff in planning and preparing for drop in activities for youth and giving leadership to various camp programs. Although the focus will be on working with youth, ages 12-17, the worker may also be asked to give assistance to activities related to children's programming should the need arise and if scheduled activities are not in conflict with one another.
