Receives assignments from the Director of Maintenance Performs preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment on a scheduled basis such as inspections and repairs or replacing defective parts on equipment. Performs building maintenance and repairs such as painting, plastering, and assembling equipment. Maintains building grounds such as mowing lawns, planting flowers, snow removal, and landscaping. Performs minor equipment repairs on various equipment such as ovens, air conditioners, and wheelchairs. Performs basic plumbing and electrical duties such as replacing faucets and repairing electrical beds. Operates and services facility equipment such as tractors, vehicles and lawn mowers. Orders, receives, and stocks supplies. Assists contractors working on site.

Socialize w/ residents, One-on-one with residents who are lonely, or have minimal family/social contacts, assist w/ their meals, Answer call bells. • Weather appropriate: Take residents outside to courtyards or out front & around the building (Ask staff which residents in wheelchairs or ambulatory that may enjoy this. • Style hair, Nail care (check if diabetic) & manicures (ask staff who may enjoy this). • If there is no entertainment scheduled, think of an activity that you may wish to do w/ the resident e.g. movie, reading, reminiscing, cards, tea party & so forth. • Assisting the Day Program (KWCC) is acceptable, but your primary role Life Bio followed by recreation. • We encourage you to do group activities with other students but we ask that you not sit in groups. If you find you are sitting chatting with another student, take that opportunity to decide on the next activity and start something fun.
