- Assisting residents to recreation programs
- Assisting activity coordinators on outings
- Facilitation of recreation programs
- Working with recreation department
- Spending one-on-one time with residents
- Organization of recreation supplies
- Time management skills
- Ensures residents protection and comfort
- Proper regard for confidential information
- Good previous work attendance
- Must provide a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Persons Check and a Department of Social Development Record Check
- Must pass pre-employment medical evaluation

- Completed at least one year of a BN or BScN program to compassionate provide person-centred care
- Display a strong desire and aptitude for working with seniors and persons with physical/mental challenges
- Display a high regard for confidentiality, along with our core values of compassion, respect, excellence and safety.
- Weekend availability is a requirement

Duties may include:
- Assisting residents with meals, snacks and morning/afternoon hydration rounds
- Housekeeping duties
- Engaging our residents in meaningful activities
- Helping residents to and from activities, hair salon, church services, etc.
- One-on-One visits with residents
- Assist the RN with special projects
- Taking mobile residents weights, general blood pressures, etc.
- Help to prep drug review, etc.
- Assisting with some nursing clerical duties and nursing departmental improvement projects as needed
- Helping with high touch cleaning
- Attend meetings/education sessions, as required
