• Support the logistics planning for the smooth running of the weekly Market operations.
• Help organize the physical requirements, the market setup and site logistics, including the setup of tents, kiosks, special equipment, audio-visual & sound equipment and installing directional signage.
• Assist with site security and traffic flow circulation.
• Vendor kiosk support which includes set-up and dismantling for secure use.
• Assist the site supervisor with site maintenance and minor repairs under the supervision of licensed tradesperson, where applicable.
• Help prepare the setup of special events and programming activities.
• Handling and storage of equipment each week.
• Handling the waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness throughout the Market and related sites.
• Gardening and maintenance of BFM plants.
• Special project: set up and document the BFM Operations manual.

• Assist the Market Store Manager with sourcing local products, pick up & delivery, inventory and data entry.

· Research and develop materials for educational events and tools on the topic of waste management focusing on the circular economy model and reducing food waste (fact sheets, best practices, web site, social media, podcasts, videos, photography).
· Support the team of volunteers as the Green Brigade.
· Organize the demo waste station activities with a particular focus on educational videos, demos and presenting educational material.
· Organize and perform waste audits throughout the market to demonstrate the results of waste diversion initiatives.
· Implement the ‘real dishes for real food’ program during market hours.
· Help with vendor training to adopt zero waste principles, reduce the impact of single use packaging and promote upcycling opportunities.
· Help organize the 6th Zero Waste Festival in NB in the Fall of 2026.
