Law Student
Location: Fredericton, NB
Duration: 12 weeks
Compensation: $20/hour
The New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes (NBANH) is a non-profit organization that supports nursing homes province-wide. Our Labour Relations and Legal Services Department plays a crucial role in providing legal advice and representing member Nursing Homes.
We offer law students the opportunity to get hands-on experience in labour law and workplace relations. This role is ideal for students seeking to develop skills in legal research, drafting, and analysis while having a positive impact on the long-term care sector.
Responsibilities
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
• Assist in arbitration hearings
• Engage stakeholders and support advisors
• Manage case files and admin tasks
Requirements
• 1L or 2L at a Canadian Law School
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (English/French)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and professionalism
