The recreation officer will support the communications and community liaison officer as well as the director of recreation, culture, and wellness in carrying out their tasks and projects by participating in the planning and organization of summer activities and community celebrations, drafting, revising, and proofreading various bilingual communication materials, updating and managing relevant databases, attending meetings of recreation committees where their presence is required, managing projects and files related to recreation as needed, and performing any other related tasks requested by the supervisor while also assisting the Fall Colours Festival committee with the overall organization of the festival, coordinating and managing volunteers, evaluating and selecting activities, and designing promotional materials.

Following the success of the first edition of the Champdoré's Young Champion Camps, the camp coordinator will be responsible for planning and organizing sports, recreational, educational, and artistic activities by creating schedules adapted to different age groups, supervising the team of animators and monitors, assigning tasks, and ensuring that all camp rules are followed. They will ensure the safety of participants, manage behavior, and apply emergency protocols when necessary. They will also be responsible for managing equipment, organizing outings and special events, communicating with parents, and overseeing the smooth running of meals and rest periods to provide a dynamic and safe summer experience. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills, as well as experience working with youth.
