Les protecteurs côtiers seront responsables de participer activement aux inventaires de plages pour dénombrer le Pluvier siffleur. Ils participeront à la protection des aires de nidification, à l’installation des affiches de protections sur les sites de nidification du Pluvier siffleur (une espèce en péril) et à l’installation des affiches de protection des dunes. De plus les étudiants prendront part aux activités éducatives pour différents groupes dans la communauté, participeront à divers inventaires de la faune et de la flore de la zone côtière. Les étudiants participeront aussi activement au ramassage des déchets échoués sur les plages de la Péninsule acadienne afin de diriger ceux-ci vers le centre d’enfouissement. Les protecteurs côtiers feront le suivi des Pluvier siffleur bagués et des couples nicheurs sur plus de 33 plages de la Péninsule acadienne.

This position will entail, in collaboration with the Salisbury Recreation & Wellness Dept, the planning and organizing of summer day camps for residents of Salisbury. This includes both paid and free camps for students. The Head Counsellor will be the direct supervisor for the other four camp counsellors and be the primary liaison with the Recreation & Wellness Dept. This role also entails additional planning work to assist the Town in organizing all visits, materials and supplies required for the different weeks of camp offered throughout the summer.
During the free camp weeks, these camps offer Salisbury-specific programming with different themes, ranging from arts & crafts to sports camps. These weeks will entail the direct supervision of children, in addition to assisting with planning, organizing, and arranging logistics.
During the paid camp weeks, in addition to the standard duties it may entail accompanying campers on day excursions to attractions as part of the themed weeks.

This position will oversee the grooming, mowing, lining, and maintenance of two baseball fields and one soccer field. This includes grooming fields for games, ensuring bases are set up, lining fields, completing minor repairs on mounds, in dug-outs, etc. This position also entails the regular monitoring of garbage cans, washrooms, and overall ground cleanliness.

Lifeguards at Salisbury Lions Pool assist with supervising swimming activities, ensure the safety of visitors, handle money and payments for open swim(s), instruct swimming lessons, log swimmer progress, and assist with operational maintenance of the pool (eg. taking and logging temperatures, chemical readings, etc.).
As pre-qualifications of employment, lifeguards must have valid CPR/First Aid, Instructors, and National Lifeguard Certification, or be willing to obtain them as part of the position.

Student assistance for 12 weeks is desired for the care and maintenance of the cemetery, including the operation of grass mowing and snipping around gravestones equipment, as well as the general maintenance in the leveling of graves, planting grass seed, the trimming of trees and other associated care needs. The student will also be used to develop a digital plot plan for the existing cemetery as well as assist in the development of an expansion plan to the the existing cemetery layout.
