The Environmental Education and Outreach Coordinator will plan, lead, and implement the BWC’s outreach and camp programs. The coordinator will also assist with teaching the camp curriculum and supervising campers. They will also be tasked with maintaining a schedule and program records, camp equipment, and office tasks including data entry, report writing, and assisting with community events.

This position requires a candidate with some leadership/management experience and the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and safety awareness is a must. Candidates must enjoy engaging with children and community members and working outside. Candidates who are pursuing university/college programs in education or environmental science will find this position an asset to their education and career development. This is a seasonal full-time position (35 hours per week) for 10 -12 weeks commencing in June 2023.

The Environmental Camp Counsellor will assist with providing environmental education, and activities to camp participants. The camp counsellor will also assist in providing support to the BWC’s environmental education and community outreach projects. They will also be tasked with teaching the camp curriculum, leading camp activities and supervising campers. They will also maintain camp equipment, and complete office tasks including data entry, report writing, and assisting at community events.
This position requires a candidate with the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with good communication and interpersonal skills and safety awareness is a must. Must enjoy providing childhood education and working outside. Candidates who are pursuing university/college programs in education or science will find this position an asset to their education and career development. This is a seasonal full-time position (35 hours per week) for 10 -12 weeks commencing in June 2023.
