We are looking for a Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and yard maintenance. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Responsibilities
• Perform minor fixes
• Install appliances and equipment
• Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, light plumbing repairs
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems
• Assist other departments when needed such as helping strip rooms of linen, folding laundry
• Communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner
• Help the housekeepers with disinfecting rooms.
Requirements
• Must be able to work with or without supervision
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Very good communication and people skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• Must wear professional attire according to this position

Under the direction of the Activity Coordinator, administers and develops the activities through groups and/or one to one activity such as art, games, crafts etc.

Responsibilities
• Provide support and supervision during recreational activities to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
• Assist in, program planning and implementing activities for residents
• Assist with setting and cleaning up activity areas
• Adapt programs and activities to meet the needs of participants
• Engage participants one on one or small group setting
• Have a willingness to engage and interact with seniors living with dementia
• Be a creative, enthusiastic team member

Requirements
• Experience in senior or dementia care would be assets
• Strong communication skills
• Have compassion and patience when working with older adults
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and preferences of residents
• Excellent computer skills would be an asset
• Must wear professional attire according to this position
