From Argentina to a Career in New Brunswick Real Estate

Meet Antonella Maira Gil, an Argentina-trained certified real estate appraiser, broker, and agent who moved to Canada in 2024 with the goal of continuing her career in New Brunswick. 🏡

After contacting the New Brunswick Real Estate Association to better understand the licensing requirements for practicing as a realtor in the province, Antonella connected with Nathalie Morton, a WorkingNB Employment Counsellor in April 2025.

Together, they mapped out the steps needed to achieve her goal.

Over the following months, Antonella completed the Introduction to a Career in Real Estate course before successfully completing her pre-licensing course and passing her exams in early 2026. With continued support from her Employment Counsellor, she also strengthened her job-search skills and prepared to enter the workforce.

In May 2026, Antonella officially applied for her New Brunswick real estate license and was hired by a New Brunswick brokerage, marking the beginning of her professional journey in the province.

Reflecting on her experience, Antonella shared:

“Nathalie was extremely efficient, kind, and quick in her responses, and I really felt her support throughout the whole process.”

At WorkingNB, we are proud to support internationally trained individuals as they navigate licensing pathways, build their careers, and contribute their skills and expertise to communities across New Brunswick.
