The Student Education Coordinator (SEC) will support the Managing Director (MD) in planning and implementing educational and recreational programs at Tucker Park (TP), with a focus on the expanded 2025 Environmental Education Program 'In Search of Biodiversity: Explore, Uncover and Discover'. The Craft Program Coordinator (CPC) will oversee craft programs for organized visits to Tucker Park, managing over 1500 expected participants from very diverse backgrounds including ages 4-90, socioeconomic factors, physical, mental, and emotional challenges. This challenging position involves coordinating craft lesson plans with environmental educational outcomes, planning, organizing, and ordering materials for all sessions. The CPC will also lead the "Kids in the Park Program" for young children, promoting appreciation for the natural environment through fun activities like crafts, short trail walks and talks, games, and other fun activities. This program will be available twice a week for four weeks during the summer. Other duties could be assigned as they arise.
Required skills include craft experience, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse groups, independence, problem-solving, and leadership. Assets include bilingualism and some computer skills.
