The Moncton Family Room provides an oasis of calm and support inside the walls of the hospital, allowing families to be just steps away from their child receiving medical care. Our local youth centre located in a low-income neighbourhood in the Campbellton Regional Community (Campbellton Sector) provides an opportunity for youth to participate in a variety of activities and experiences that they would not otherwise be able to take part in. Over the course of the summer, 8 camps (each with a different theme) will be held for children from 5 to 15 years old. The students will be responsible for preparing, coordinating and delivering quality, dynamic, safe and stimulating summer camps, encouraging participation and teamwork among the youth, supervising the proper development of the activity, greeting parents/guardians and responding to all questions and inquiries in a direct and polite manner, assisting other staff members, being responsible for the well-being and safety of the kids attending the camps, identifying and responding to the individual needs of each participant. The students will actively participate in outings, outdoor activities, and much more.
