We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful student to join our team as a Grant Research Assistant this summer. In this role, you will support the organization by identifying and researching grant opportunities using various grant research databases with the backing our Administration Team to secure funding for our programs and initiatives. This is a fully remote position, you will need a High Speed Internet Connection, and a private Space to work (a home-office, or bedroom). The only skills required for this placement is Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to work alone, and follow written directions without direct supervision, while having access to supervisors for support, electronically (by Telephone, Instant Messaging, etc).

Le ou la préposé(e) à l’entretien des sentiers de vélo est responsable d’assurer la qualité, la sécurité et la durabilité du réseau de sentiers. Cette personne veille à maintenir des parcours fluides, sécuritaires et agréables pour les cyclistes, tout en protégeant l’environnement naturel et en appliquant les meilleures pratiques de gestion des sentiers.
Entretien général des sentiers :
Inspecter régulièrement les sentiers pour identifier les zones endommagées, érodées ou dangereuses.
Débroussailler, élaguer et retirer les obstacles (branches, roches, débris).
Réparer les sections de sentier : nivellement, drainage, compactage, ajout de matériaux.
Entretenir les structures : ponts, passerelles, berms, jumps, virages relevés, features en bois.
Travailler avec les équipes de bénévoles, clubs de vélo, municipalités ou organismes partenaires.
Informer les gestionnaires des besoins, priorités et interventions effectuées.

Job duties and expected outcomes
May through August 31, 2026
This position is for 35 hours per week. The time on the job may be flexible to meet the garden needs. You will help to increase food security by planting, tending, and harvesting the food bank garden vegetable plots.
You will raise awareness by hosting, and encourage participation in weekly open “garden days” at our gardens, showcasing our garden peak season.
Passing out freshly harvested vegetables to registered families of the food bank, and sharing information on how best to prepare, eat and store products.
Other duties may be assigned including some light administrative work, packing food hampers, painting, grocery shopping, and engaging with registered clients of the St. George and Area Food Bank. Not limited to but other duties as enlisted by management. The student summer newsletter and posters and engaging in keeping data files updated.
