The role of a summer student with the SBWA is to assist with environmental monitoring, restoration and educational activities. Environmental monitoring will include, but not limited to: - Water quality sampling - Invasive green crab sampling - Eelgrass sampling (involves swimming and snorkeling). Environmental restoration work will include, but not limited to: - Tree planting – Environmental landscaping (use of shovels, rakes, etc.) - Invasive plant eradication – Environmental trash clean-ups - Creation of rain gardens, and weeding – Manual work on living shoreline projects. Educational activities include coordinating events with school groups and/or the general public. The student will also assist with office work such as - Scientific data entry (Excel) - Research - Report writing.

Sous l’autorité de la personne responsable du Volet jeunesse du Théâtre populaire d’Acadie, l’agent du Volet jeunesse du TPA a pour mission de soutenir le développement des initiatives destinées aux jeunes afin de renforcer les liens entre le TPA et son public jeunesse.
COMPÉTENCES ET PROFIL RECHERCHÉS
● Manifester un intérêt pour la production d’œuvres théâtrales pour la jeunesse et le processus de création;
● Détenir des habiletés manifestes en gestion de projet;
● Posséder de l’expérience en gestion d’événements serait un atout;
● Connaître le contexte acadien, ou s’y intéresser;
● Excellent français à l’écrit et à l’oral;
● Aptitudes au travail d’équipe, à la planification, et intérêt pour tout ce qui concerne l’organisation du travail;
● Maîtriser les outils informatiques et les réseaux sociaux;
● Être disposé à travailler depuis le siège social du TPA à Caraquet.
