Founded in 1994 by the Hon. Jim Ross, the mission of Partners for Youth is to engage youth facing challenges and obstacles in their lives to become capable, connected and contributing members of their communities. PFY achieves its mission through innovative programs and services which promote experiential learning in safe, supportive and rewarding environments, in collaboration with public, private and not for profit partners. An extension of our year round program the summer camp experience offers youth at risk the opportunity to explore the New Brunswick wilderness as they take part in an adventure based out tripping camp. Designed as a small group experience only 20 campers and 8 staff participate in each camp. In order to accommodate the demand we plan to offer up to 14 camps during the 2026 summer season. Delivered from our 35 acre site in North Lake NB, our camp provides an outdoor adventure based experience which is supportive, challenging and life changing.

The labourer is responsible for the general maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance of municipal park facilities and grounds. This position supports a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors by performing a variety of manual labor and maintenance tasks.

Key Duties:

Mow lawns, trim grass, and maintain landscaped areas

Weed and maintain flower beds and gardens

Plant flowers, trees, and shrubs as directed

Collect litter and debris from park grounds

Clean and maintain park facilities, including shelters, washrooms, etc.

Perform minor maintenance and repairs to park structures, equipment, and signage
Operate and maintain hand tools and light power equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, trimmers)

Assist with setup and takedown of equipment for park events and activities

Follow all health and safety policies and procedures

Report hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to the supervisor

Perform other related duties as assigned

The student must assist the clientele (person with special needs) in the activities of daily living. He will have to participate and organize social and cultural activities with the clientele in order to perfect the learning of skills aimed at greater autonomy. A weekly follow-up will be carried out with the student to ensure his good functioning and his safety at work.

Lifeguards must first and foremost ensure the safety of the public and all those persons around the pool. They must perform to the standards of Life Saving Society with up to date valid certifications. They must follow the directives of the pool supervisor, perform daily facility and pool cleaning, be organized in providing swimming lessons and water safety courses, complete financial transactions, and be a professional and cooperative team member. A lifeguard must also enforce rules and regulations for the safety of all swimmers, staff, and guests.
