The Day Camp Counsellor will be responsible for delivering environmental, recreational, and fishing-related programs to Day Campers aged 5-12 attending the Hammond River Nature Camp. Activities from previous years include tree-planting, insect collecting/identifying, fishing, fly-tying, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sports, field games, wetland tours, wildlife identification, environmental education and environmental clean-up activities.

The Ecological Technician will work on a variety of projects in the Hammond River Watershed. They will work with The Hammond River Nature Camp by delivering environmental and fishing-related programs to Day Campers aged 5-12. They will also take part in field work including wetland monitoring, riparian restoration and water quality testing. Tasks will include analyzing wetland function, tree-planting, tagging fish, and site preparation for wetland restoration efforts. The skills learned in this position would be very useful to a career in environmental biology, biology, forestry, or fisheries.

The Lifeguard will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and supervising waterfront activities at the Hammond River Nature Camp. They will provide a safe environment for all campers and staff. They will perform safety and security checks regularly and ensure that rules and regulations are understood and followed. They will oversee the care of waterfront equipment, including floats, first aid kit, spinal board, and other life preserving equipment. The Lifeguard will keep the waterfront tidy and clean including raking the area once per day, bringing forward lost and found items daily and removing any garbage. By participating in a nature-based summer camp, the Lifeguard will develop a knowledge of local environmental issues, flora and fauna, as well as watershed and habitat. The Lifeguard will get training in other activities related to the environmental program like fishing, tree-planting and fly-tying, among others.

As this position will work within a cloud-based team, the worker will regularly initiate problem-solving with co-workers and will need to learn how to succeed in remote work modality, requiring documenting work on time sheets, using Slack, Trello, ZOOM, Google Classroom & Workspace.

Under project manager supervision, as part of a cloud-based team, the Web editor will engage the following range of tasks in multiple languages:
1) Editing & translation of website pages into foreign languages using an AI-based translation system
2) Uploading the translations into WordPress websites, including formatting, designing and building hyperlinks in multiple languages, A/V file embedding
3) Creation & upkeep of website menu widgets
4) Develop downloadable PDF documents
5) Develop & deploy PWAs with audio content
6) Develop & manipulate large Google Sheets for import to Google Ads
7) Develop & embed videos with subtitles into websites
8) Develop/Translate Google Classroom modules
As this requires cloud-based teamwork, the editor will need to succeed in remote work modality, requiring documenting work on time sheets, using Trello, Slack, ZOOM and Google Workspace, and participating in online meetings.

Attending and assisting club members and visitors with arrival and departure of vessels. Assigning space for vessels and collecting appropriate fees. Operating VHF radio and POS system when required. Ensuring a safe environment for all members and guests by making sure docks are clear of hazards and obstructions. General maintenance and cleanliness of overall marina area, dock structure, washroom, and laundry facilities. ensuring common area is clean and unobstructed for members and guests. Greeting all visitors and helping them to their vessel when required. Assisting the social director in preparation of special events as well as helping older members and those with special needs when they arrive or depart from the marina. Welcoming and informing transient boaters about the town and marina amenities as well as the beautiful Saint John River system.

To working alongside our pastors & people to serve the community of
