Big Brothers Big Sisters is a leading youth mentorship organization dedicated to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Our work helps build stronger communities by fostering positive outcomes for children through meaningful, lasting connections. The Marketing Coordinator will support the Big Brother Big Sisters of Fredericton and Oromocto team in promoting Big Brothers Big Sisters’ programs, events, and impact throughout the summer season. The Marketing Coordinator will be in charge of our social media platforms and website updates. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual interested in gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, communications, and community engagement.

The Youth Mentoring Coordinator will train with senior staff to learn how to mentor children in need of an need of an additional adult developmental relationship. The student must demonstrate creativity and develop community contacts while planning and delivering Big Brothers Big Sisters community based Big Bunch and Fun While You Wait summer mentoring programs. They will have to evaluate the success of the individual and group mentoring programs offered during the summer months. Coordinate several Go Girls and Game On group mentoring programs in local middle schools. Help to develop and deliver presentations to encourage local elementary and middle schools to host 2025-26 in-school mentoring programs. Need to support a variety of other activities of the Agency as needed, including but not restricted to, park BBQ for Bigs, Littles and their families as well as help planning fundraising events

The project assistant will be responsible for entering data collected during monitoring field trips into the organization's databases under the supervision of the environmental technician. They will also ensure the follow-up of project objectives regarding water quality and the monitoring of species at risk, such as the Maritime Ringlet butterfly and the Bank Swallow. The employee will have the opportunity to use and calibrate equipment such as a multi-parameter probe, a flow meter, and an anemometer. The project assistant will also have the opportunity to participate in environmental awareness through various means, including social media, the production of informative documents, and the organization of presentations and daily activities for youth at the La Barque summer camp, as well as presentations with booths at the regional eco-market.
