The Multicultural Association of Sussex (MAS) promotes cultural diversity, supports newcomers through its settlement services, and enhances community engagement through its regular programming. The Community Connections and Volunteer Coordinator Assistant (CCVCA) works with the team in various aspects of summer programming for clients of MAS. These activities include but are not limited to helping to organize multicultural events, community outreach initiatives and volunteers. The CCVCA has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work independently or as part of a diverse team. They exhibit cultural sensitivity and an understanding of newcomer challenges. They are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms and have good organizational skills. Front desk work, greeting clients and taking messages are part of the daily job. This is a 35-hour per week position with some evening and weekend work required.

Applicants will assist GKWA research and conservation technicians with various projects including: Fish sampling and identification, water quality sampling, habitat surveys, electrofishing, tree planting and more.

Community & Family Support worker will complete data entry, lift and organize food bank supplies, food bank prep work, answer phones, drive work vehicle to pick up of donations and other duties as needed.
Work with clients during weekly foodbank operations, including assisting them through the process and assisting them out with their items. Help organize and implement community events. Valid Drivers License is mandatory.

Responsabilités principales :
Préparer et planifier les activités quotidiennes adaptées aux besoins et aux intérêts des enfants de 2 à 8 ans.
Encourager le goût de découvrir, d’apprendre et de créer chez les enfants.
Favoriser des expériences d’apprentissage contribuant à la construction de l’identité linguistique et culturelle francophone.
Soutenir les enfants dans la prise de décisions concernant leurs apprentissages et leurs choix d’activités.
Assurer l’entretien et la propreté de l’équipement de la garderie et à toutes autres tâches assignées par la direction.

Les étudiants auront comme tâche de faire l'évaluation de la qualité de l'eau des ruisseaux du bassin versant ainsi que le nettoyage selectif aux endroit nécessaires. Cette évaluation à pour but de savoir si les ruisseaux ont besoin de restauration dans le futur. Une liste de priorité sera fait à la suite de ces évaluations. Les étudiants devront faire un rapport final.

Aquatic Instructor: Candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons and water safety skills by providing hands on instruction, and ensuring a safe aquatic environment. Strong communication skills, patience and a commitment to safety are essential. Must have current certifications and possess strong swimming ability and teaching skills.
