This job is a hospitality and communication position for people with a passion for history and heritage.
The student will perform all tasks inherent to the opening, operations and closing of the MR21 (Monument of Recognition in the 21st century, interpretation center/museum of the cathedral of Moncton). He/she will memorize a lot of information about Acadie and the cathedral and communicate it, in both official languages, to visitors.
He/she will be in charge of selling tickets and items in the box office.
He/she will be responsible for updating the social networks on a weekly basis.
He/she will be required to travel to specific events, such as festivals, to offer a virtual tour of the cathedral using a virtual reality headset.
He/she will be asked to conduct research and participate in the cataloguing of documents in our archive center.

The technician will work with the Environment team to collect data during the field season. This may include watershed monitoring, biodiversity research in the local marine protected area, use of acoustic technology to record marine mammals, and more. Primary Duties:
- Assistance with field work, incl. carrying equipment, recording data, collecting samples, handling fish, etc. May take place in remote areas and sometimes requires boating or ATV access, sampling in adverse weather conditions, walking for extended periods of time, flexible hours, etc.

- Independent research
- Assistance in proper use, maintenance, storage of field equipment
- Other duties e.g. taking photos, assistance with drone exercises, etc.

The Association Plein Air Shediac Outdoors Association (APASOA) has the purpose to build and maintain non-motorized nature trails in the town of Shediac and to promote their use.
