Maintaining 3 ballfields: Cutting grass, dragging and lining the fields. Students will also be responsible for the fields being ready for all practices and games, cleaning washrooms before and after all events held at the community centre. We also have a horseshoe pitch which is used by the seniors in the area and the students are responsible for maintaining that area as well. The students are also responsible for setting up the community centre for all events throughout the summer.
In co-operation with the Miramichi Chatham Ironmen, we will be using our field to host the 2026 Senior Men's Baseball Championship. We will be updating the bleachers which will require painting as well.

The community centre youth worker will work in collaboration with (hopefully) a Canada Summer Jobs employee and TCA volunteers on summer programming. This includes developing and running a day camp for elementary children 5-12, support summer TCA activities such as a family fun day, the Taymouth Market, the Taymouth Tigers ball field program, enhancement of Nature Trail, green space and building maintenance and repairs, yearly 5km roadside clean up, and will assist with event promotion and reporting through TCA social media. Creative ideas for additional programming welcome. Daily supervision and mentoring provided. Past youth employees have found the TCA a productive learning environment and work experience and an opportunity to learn about community resources and community building.

The Summer Youth and Community Outreach Director is a full-time summer student position focused on supporting youth development and strengthening community connection through inclusive programming and outreach initiatives. Under staff supervision, the student will plan and lead youth activities, assist with community events, support volunteers, and help build relationships with families and local partners. The role addresses summer gaps in structured programming by providing safe, positive environments that reduce isolation, encourage leadership, and promote social well-being.

This position offers meaningful employment with hands-on training in leadership, communication, program coordination, and community development. The student will gain transferable skills while contributing to initiatives that serve youth, families, and vulnerable populations beyond the church’s membership. Outcomes will be measured through participation levels, volunteer engagement, and program evaluations.

The Summer Student will assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of the showgrounds, including grounds care, basic repairs, event setup and takedown. The role also involves supporting the Board of Directors with day-to-day operational tasks, event preparation, and on-site assistance during scheduled activities and events.

The student will join a team that supports the life and outreach of our church through a variety of community-focused activities. A key responsibility will be assisting with our annual Vacation Bible Camp, which serves nearly 50 children from the wider community, including planning crafts, games, storytelling, and decorating. The student may also help with a proposed soccer camp for younger children, inspired by the 2026 World Cup in North America. Additional duties include assisting with the set-up and cleaning of our seasonal summer church in Pointe-du-Chêne, supporting our community pumpkin patch in partnership with Anglophone East School (Shediac Cape), and helping with light office work, cleaning, and yard maintenance. As a church with over 200 years of history, we aim to provide a rewarding position where the student can develop valuable skills, work with diverse age groups, and contribute positively to the community.

Le camp de jour accueil des enfants entre 6 et 12 ans sur une période de 8 semaines. Les principales tâches sont: Créer un horaire d'activités, gérer un budget, procéder aux achats en relation avec les activités, créer des partenariats avec les organismes de la région, les entreprises et les différents réseaux qui peuvent contribuer au succès du camp, être à l'écoute des enfants et des parents, s'assurer du mieux-être des enfants, interagir avec les enfants lors des activités, proposer des activités touchant divers intérêts: jeux, sports, activités éducatives, bricolages, santé, la faune et la flore et toutes autres activités d'un camp de jour.

Assurer la propreté des lieux: nettoyer quotidiennement les planchers, surfaces et salles de bain. Suivre le calendrier de la collecte des déchets et des matières recyclables et s'occuper des poubelles. Assister les moniteurs/monitrices de camp de jour aux tâches journalières. S'assurer que les espaces occupés durant le camp de jour soient propres.
