The primary responsibility of the Family Room Associate is to maintain a safe and welcoming space for families visiting the Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Moncton Hospital. The Family Room Associate will often work alone, with help from an engaged team of volunteers.
The FRA will coordinate all family related needs while on shift, supervise and aid volunteers on duty, handle any arising emergencies, perform various administrative tasks and oversee general operations of Ronald McDonald Family Room. The FRA will also support administrative projects to help further the success of Family Room services and programing.

He will also have to monitor project objectives on water quality, and monitoring of species at risk such as the maritime ringlet and the bank swallow. The employee will have the opportunity to use and calibrate equipment such as a multi-parameter probe, a current meter, and an anemometer. Environmental awareness is also a big part of the job through various means like social media, production of informative documents, presentations, and daily activities for the youth at a summer camp and presentations with Kiosks at the regional farmers market.
