The Exceptional Programming Director will give lead to the summer team of employees and volunteers in the development and execution of programming for children, teens and adults from the special needs community. Responsibilities will include planning activities for a summer camp, managing a weekly budget, recruiting volunteers, delegating tasks to team members, and overseeing the care of those in the summer programs (alongside of the Exceptional Ministries Pastor)

The Exceptional Programming Assistant will work alongside of the Exceptional Ministries Director and Pastor in the development of programming for children, teens and adults from the special needs community. Responsibilities will include planning and executing activities for a summer camp, preparing supplies, and becoming a part of the Sunday Exceptional Ministries team (caring for children and teens with special needs who are in attendance).

The primary duties of these positions centre around interaction and information for the travelling public. These individuals will greet and provide information about the historical and ecological significance of Cape Jourimain to visitors. This will include: informing them of the history of Cape Jourimain as the historic crossing place between mainland New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, first by the Mi'kmaq people using birchbark canoes, followed by, after European contact, the French and English using various forms of boats, to the present day Confederation Bridge. They will provide visitors with information on the rich ecology of the site; and will assist with interpretation programs for local youth groups. They will brief visitors to the Lighthouse, explaining the significance of these structures to local navigation. These workers will be provided with an extensive orientation to all facets of the Centre and its grounds.

Le Festival acadien de Caraquet est à la recherche d’une personne motivée, organisée et enthousiaste afin de soutenir l’équipe permanente dans la préparation et la réalisation de sa prochaine édition.
Sous la supervision de la direction, la personne embauchée participera à la planification, la coordination et l’exécution des activités et événements du Festival. Les tâches pourront inclure, entre autres, l’appui logistique aux événements, la coordination sur le terrain, l’aide à la promotion, ainsi que le soutien administratif et organisationnel lié à la programmation.
Ce poste offre une expérience de travail concrète et formatrice dans le milieu culturel et événementiel, permettant au ou à la candidat·e de développer des compétences en gestion de projets, en travail d’équipe et en organisation d’événements, tout en contribuant activement à la vitalité culturelle de la région.
La durée de l’emploi est de 8 à 12 semaines, selon les besoins du Festival.

To welcome visitors to Lighthouse, inform and direct visitors, collect fees, oversee maintenance of site, keep records of activity, conduct tours of lighthouse, oversee lighthouse maintenance and activities, maintain supervisory contact.

Summer focused ministry primarily focused on youth ministry, working with children (including Vacation Bible School week) and service to the community. Along with weekly youth group and special events, er may include service events.

The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising the pool area, ensuring the safety of all patrons, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and delivering swimming lessons (if qualified). This position also involves assisting with special events, such as birthday parties and pool rentals. The Lifeguard will uphold all policies and procedures of the Recreaplex Inc. and contribute to local initiatives promoting active living for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. The Lifeguard reports directly to the Aquatic Supervisor.
