completed)
-New Brunswick Pleasure Craft Operator Certification
-Standard First Aid & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Certification
• Provide a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector
• Complete the Safe Sport Training course

The technician will work with the Aquatic Science team to collect data during the field season. This may include watershed monitoring, biodiversity monitoring in the local marine protected area, use of passive acoustic monitoring to record marine mammals, and more. Students also have the opportunity to learn about and train on topics and skills that interest them.
Primary Duties:
- Assistance with field work, incl. carrying equipment, recording data, collecting samples, handling fish, etc. May take place in remote areas and sometimes requires boating or ATV access, sampling in adverse weather conditions, walking for extended periods of time, flexible hours, etc.
- Data management including recording in the field and inputting in excel. Sample management incl. labelling, storage, sending, receiving
- Independent research
- Assistance in proper use, maintenance, storage of field equipment
- Other duties e.g. taking photos, assistance with drone exercises, indoor farming, etc.
