Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Executive Director, being willing and ready to assist in all aspects of camp life and operation.
Assist with preparations and leadership of staff training in the pre-camp season.
Assist in making sure the camp is fully operational for the camping season.
Provide leadership to all staff, cabin leaders, LITs and volunteers.
Check in with staff teams weekly.
Ensure the day-to-day operations of the camp and staff are running smoothly.
Organize and lead devotions for morning meetings (Morning Devos).
Manage the scheduling, mentoring, and supervision of the LITs in our LIT program, including oversight of the LITs’ Raise-a-Wage (RAW) program.
Assist in the development of quality training programs for LITs and Cabin Leaders
Provide weekly mentoring meetings with LITs & volunteers.
Organize and schedule volunteers.
Connect daily with cabin leaders, offering prayer, mentorship & support.

This is a 12-week position.

The Children’s Ministry Worker will support the planning and delivery of summer children’s programming at Atlantic Community Church under the supervision of the NextGen Pastor. Responsibilities include assisting with Vacation Bible School and themed day camps by preparing materials, setting up activity stations, helping lead large and small group activities, and supervising children to ensure safety, inclusion, and adherence to child-protection policies. The student will help design crafts, games, lessons, and schedules; organize supplies; maintain program spaces; and complete light administrative and communication tasks. They will work alongside volunteers, assist with event logistics, interact positively with families, and participate in community outreach events. Regular check-ins will provide supervision, mentorship, and leadership development.

We are hiring a student to mow our church (668 Manawagonish Road) and cemetery (corner of Manawagonish Road and Centennial Drive). You will also be required to do some light cleaning inside our church as well as some small maintenance projects. You will be given safety training in the proper use and maintenance of equipment and will be expected to wear proper safety gear. Although you will have people available by phone you will be expected to work without close supervision. You will also require transportation between the church and the cemetery (2.3km).
