Position will provide support to all UOS programs including Aboriginal Head Start, Family Wellness Program, Land based Program, Nurturing Roots, and Cultural Program. Support will include, but not limited to, administrative support such as filing, printing, document preparation; event support including set up, clean up, materials preparation; light maintenance such as painting and lawncare; greenhouse and garden support including planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and open market; and other program supports identified by program leads. Preference will be given to Indigenous students.

The team of Public Works Labourers (Summer Students) play an integral role in our community and directly lead summer maintenance, beautification and behind the scene preparations for tourism and other recreational events that occur during the booming summer months.
The Public Work Labourers support the day-to-day operations of the municipality’s Public Works Department. Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor and summer maintenance contractor, the students will assist with the general maintenance of buildings and properties, lead groundskeeping/landscaping duties, and support other operational tasks to help maintain safe and clean municipal infrastructure and public spaces.
