The team of Public Works Labourers (Summer Students) play an integral role in our community and directly lead summer maintenance, beautification and behind the scene preparations for tourism and other recreational events that occur during the booming summer months.

The Public Work Labourers support the day-to-day operations of the municipality’s Public Works Department. Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor and summer maintenance contractor, the students will assist with the general maintenance of buildings and properties, lead groundskeeping/landscaping duties, and support other operational tasks to help maintain safe and clean municipal infrastructure and public spaces.

The position requires the ability to work in various work locations, be adaptable to varying weather conditions and be a team player, brining an open-mind and can-do attitude.
