The waterfront park attendant will be responsible for renting of recreational equipment (bikes, canoes, paddleboards, etc.) The waterfront park attendant must have good communication and customer service skills. Have the ability to work independently and as a team. Must be available evenings and weekends. Duties also include physical labor with moving of recreational equipment for patrons and at the beginning and end of each shift. Other duties include handling of money and good documentation skills. Assist in keeping work area cleaned, organized, and safe for all. Assist in other special events that could happen along the waterfront.

Must have the proper qualifications and certificates to instruct Lifesaving Swim for Life programs for all ages. Must have great customer service and communication skills. Provide patrons with water safety and supervision during swimming lessons and other pool events. Organize lesson plans, implement lessons, and evaluate students. The Animal Care Attendant will support the daily care and wellbeing of animals housed at the shelter. This position provides students with hands-on, supervised experience in animal care, shelter operations, and humane handling practices in a professional work environment. Duties include feeding animals, cleaning and maintaining enclosures, monitoring animal health and behaviour, and supporting daily shelter operations while following established safety and animal wellbeing procedures.

This role is designed to help students gain practical experience relevant to future education or careers in animal wellbeing, veterinary care, agriculture, or community services, while contributing to the humane treatment of animals and the effective operation of the shelter.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and lead sailing lessons.
• Supervise and mentor sailing instructors.

Qualifications
• Certified CANSail Sailing Instructor

The ONE Summer Supervisors will be responsible for activity supervision and working with the youth in the Old North End of Saint John aged 6-12 and teens (ages 12-18). The program includes drop in activities, camp and in the events.
