Spent most of your time working outdoors, using your existing skills or learning about gardening . Tasks will involve potting up seedlings, planting, amending soil, thinning, dividing, pruning, watering, weeding, etc. Some edging and trimming work. Must be able to lift 23 kg., squat, climb, and remain on feet for extended periods of time. Work may take place in light rain, or high temperatures, but never when a safety risk is posed. There will be some greeenhouse work, which provides additional learning opportunities. On occasion, may be required to assist with special events or workshops, and may also be asked to drive a Mule or golf cart (instruction provided). English required, ability to speak other languages is an asset. The Garden operates seven days a week, so there will be weekend shifts, but you will have two consecutive days off. The Garden is LBGTQ2+ friendly and has a zero tolerance for disrespect.
