Summer Students will work primarily with the children and youth ministries at Oromocto Baptist Church (OBC). They will both develop and lead applicable programs and mentor the children, youth, and on occasion, seniors in our community in accordance with the values and culture of OBC. They will work independently and often as a team to develop, organize, lead and enrich our youth and children's programs throughout the entire week. Based on the student's individual talents further learning opportunities may be assigned in the areas of worship, sound/audio tech, public speaking, budget management, administration and social media. Summer student interns will work alongside and report to OBC leadership staff and be coached and mentored IAW their future employment goals. This is an introductory leadership role that will develop and build appreciable and transferable skills.

The Administrative Support student will fulfill a largely administrative role in the church office. Under supervision they will complete duties to include reception and greeting responsibilities in person and on the phone. They will assist in the organization and completion of the weekly church bulletin, file documents, order and organize office supplies. Prepare Microsoft documents and spreadsheets to the best of their abilities. Assist with the running of errands, sort mail, and prepare beverages and snacks in support of church meetings and activities. Based on the individual's talents further opportunities may be assigned in the areas of worship, sound/audio tech, public speaking, budget management and social media.
