Student will provide office support for writing invitation, fundrasising and activity letters, answer e-mail, create a newsletter, update website/social media platform and perform various administrative tasks. Student will also tasked to reach out to migrant workers and newcomers to provide the needed COVID19/Welcome bag, other essential personal hygiene/food supplies, emergency housing/legal/immigration needs. "Empowering the Temporary Foreign Worker during the COVID19" is an ongoing project on providing assistance to migrant workers funded by Service Canada.

Student be meeting newcomer, migrant worker & community member will learn diversity & become aware of needs & successes of the racialized communities. Outcomes for students will be to gain meaningful work experience in coordination of community event, leading the team, and working with the community. This should give the youth insight into the job market and to develop employment skills that can transfer to any job.
